TRAVEL HEALTH
If you are travelling outside the UK, you should check that you are up to date with all routine vaccinations including Tetanus and MMR.
You may also need extra travel vaccinations.
We only provide travel vaccinations that are available on the NHS and free of charge.
They are:
Polio (given as combined diphtheria/tetanus/polio jab)
Typhoid
Hepatitis A
Hepatitis B (in some circumstances)
Cholera
All other vaccines required for your travels will need to be arranged and paid for with a private travel clinic.
To check which vaccinations you might need and to allow sufficient time for them to become effective please ensure you contact us at least 12 weeks prior to your journey and complete a separate Travel Questionnaire for each person travelling. You can return it to us by email or post.
TRAVEL QUESTIONNAIRE
A member of the team will contact you within 2-4 weeks to advise you of any vaccinations needed and to arrange appointments in the Travel Clinic.
The clinic is held on the first Thursday of each month between 4:00pm and 7:00pm. We are unable to offer appointments at any other time.
We will not be able to offer you an appointment at short notice.

TRAVEL HEALTH PROTRAVEL VACCINATIONS
If you are planning to travel, please contact us, ideally 2 -3 months beforehand. This is because some vaccinations need several doses and there needs to be time between each dose. Knowing your travel destination will enable us to give you the best advice.
Whilst our travel health service is provided free of charge, not all vaccinations are funded by the NHS and some incur a charge.
If you are planning to travel and would like advice or an appointment for our travel health service, please get in touch.
If travelling abroad, you MUST download the NHS App for your COVID Pass or ring 119 for a letter confirming your vaccination status for travel AT LEAST two weeks prior to travel to ensure you have the proof required in time. GP Practices do not provide proof of vaccination for this purpose.
